Biosecurity Protocol for Luna Salada Hotel & Spa Operation During the Covid-19 Pandemic  

 

Prevention Measures 

The following are the recommendations for the prevention and control of the COVID 19 situation, called as essential measures: 

 

  • Wash your hands frequently using soap and water for at least 20 seconds. To reinforce this measure and on clean hands, apply a 70% alcohol-based disinfectant. 

  • Protect the nose and mouth with facemasks. 

  • Protect the eyes with protective glasses (reading glasses are not enough protection) 

  • Maintain physical distance in spaces of common use, corridors, rooms, dining rooms, kitchens, chairs, armchairs in the waiting room at least 1.5 meters away, etc. 

  • Constant measurement of temperature to staff. 

  • A separation screen will be placed in the reception area for customer service 

  • The company will constantly guarantee the provision of alcohol gel or 70% alcohol for constant disinfection of surfaces and hands. 

  • The company will oversee providing personnel with Personal Protection Elements (PPE), which will contemplate the delivery of facemasks and protective glasses, necessary for the performance of the functions. Due to the company's business, it is not required to provide any other additional protection element since it could generate potential contamination risks. 

  • Additionally, foot baths (rag or shoe disinfection tray) will be provided at the entrance and in different areas of the establishment to increase greater security and avoid any possible infection by this means. 

  • Biosecurity Measures for Guests Staying at Luna Salada Hotel 1.1. Accessing the premises – Front Desk 

  • Guests must wash their hands using the portable sink that will be provided at the main entrance prior to accessing the front desk. 

  • Use of facemasks is mandatory for admission, if you do not have your own, one will be provided. 

  • The temperature will be taken prior to entering the establishment 

  • The shoes must be passed through a footbath at the entrance of the establishment (Rag or shoe disinfection tray) 

  • Guests must use alcohol gel or 70% alcohol minimally on the hands to enter the establishment. 

  • A separation screen will be placed in the reception area for guest service 

  • Guests must maintain physical distance of at least 1.5 meters when waiting for check in, separation marks will be placed on the floor for reference. 

  • The only method of payment accepted will be credit/debit cards. 

  • Only guests will be allowed to enter the facilities of the establishment, but not third- party personnel (guides, drivers and others who are not related to the hotel staff) 

 

 

1.2. During the Stay 

 

1.2.1. Common Areas 

  • Guests must wear facemasks at all times 

  • Guests must comply with a physical distance of 1.5 meters between them 

  • The number of guests allowed in common areas will be limited and controlled by the hotel personnel. 

  • Disinfection of the environment and surfaces in between guests. No dispersion measures such as sprays or fumigators will be used to avoid the generation of toxic fumes 

 

1.2.2. Guestrooms 

  • Foot baths will be placed at the entrance of each room 

  • The total cleaning and disinfection of the room will be carried out upon arrival and departure of the guest 

  • There will not be turnover service. 

  • For double or triple rooms, only members of the same family will be allowed to share them 

  • The hotel will only receive 70% of its total capacity in facilities as long as the risk of infection remains 

1.2.3. Restaurant 

  • The facemask must be removed and thrown in the specific disposal container upon entering the Restaurant 

  • Guests must wash their hands using the entrance portable sink next to the Restaurant Guest must use hand sanitizer or 70% alcohol on the hands prior to enter the establishment. 

  • The shoes must be passed through a foot bath at the entrance of the establishment (Rag or shoe disinfection tray) 

  • The temperature will be taken at the entrance of the restaurant 

  • Guests at the restaurant will only be served by established schedules and shifts with prior coordination at the front desk. 

  • The buffet serving style will be suspended and replaced with a la carté menu. 

  • The distance between table and table of at least 2 meters away will be respected. 

  • The restaurant will not serve the full capacity, only according to the capacity allowed by the already established shifts as mentioned above 

  • Only guests who belong to the same family can share a table 

1.2.4. Lounge 

  • Facemasks must be removed and thrown in the specific disposal container upon entering the Lounge. 

  • Guests must wash their hands using the entrance portable sink next to the Lounge 

  • Guest must use hand sanitizer or 70% alcohol on the hands prior to enter the establishment. 

  • The shoes must be passed through a foot bath at the entrance of the establishment (Rag or shoe disinfection tray) 

  • The temperature will be taken at the entrance of the restaurant 

  • Guests at the Lounge will only be served by established schedules and shifts with prior coordination at the front desk. 

  • The buffet serving style will be suspended and replaced with a la carté menu. 

  • The distance between table and table of at least 2 meters away will be respected. The restaurant will not serve the full capacity, only according to the capacity allowed by the already established shifts as mentioned above 

 

 

1.3. Leaving the establishment 

  • Once the guests leave the establishment, hotel personnel will proceed with the disinfection of contact surfaces, as well as all the environments.
